Asher and Franca at the Port Cygnet Cannery have a true paddock to plate operation, with lots of their menu sourced from their farm. They are currently waiting on the end of the coronavirus shutdown, but when they reopen our apple juice will be served at the bar and our pork will be on their pizzas.
Emma and the team at Meat Mistress (formerly Bayside Meats) in Sandy Bay are butchers with a difference. They visit the farms they source their meat from and can answer any questions you have about how your meat has been raised and sourced. They are strong advocates of nose-to-tail ethics, and eating better meat, not more meat. Whenever we have pork, hoggett or beef that hasn’t been sold to restaurants or direct to customers you will find it here.
Martino and Sofia are passionate about great tasting food, and using great ingredients to make their magic happen. Their restaurant is always evolving its seasonal local menu, heavily focused on using the produce of the Huon Valley. When we have had a long day on the farm and need a beautiful meal and a comforting glass of wine, Osteria is where you will find us. They use our free range pork and anything else that we have available.
There are mates, and then there are partners. Sam, Andrew and the Willie Smiths team have been our partners in growing cider apples since 2015, and we work with them to ensure that we grow our best apples so that they can make the best ciders possible for you to enjoy. We continue to learn and grow together.
We saved the most important for last. Andrew Smith is a fourth generation orchardist, and without his support and sage advice we would not be growing organic apples today. R & R Smith are one of the largest suppliers of certified organic produce to Woolworths, and as our agent supply our Royal Gala and Pink Lady apples into the Woolworths Macro Organic range.
